Models do suggest Edmonton's time is coming this weekend.

Weatheronline seems to get their forecasts straight from the models without any human insight. It's going to get cold but seriously doubt it will get this cold!

Looks pretty intense for Vancouver as well. 850mb temps near -15C! Cold coming straight from the north; very unlike the cold blasts of the past decade or so.

These types of setups are much more favourable to Vancouver, compared with backdoor blasts which favour Oregon.

It's been a while since our last -10C temp in Feb. Have to go back to 1989, when temps dipped to -11C for three days with a high of -7C.

Looks like Seattle will share in the cold this time around as well; I'm sure @botev is looking forward to it.

Philly's forecast. 0's to Spring in 5 days!

Ugh, I hate temp swings like that. I like consistency lol.

Anyway after seeing your post I went to the office window, and they said "you missed it". It didn't last long and there isn't any snow on the ground just some on cars in the distance on the roof parking deck.

Current temp is 24F, one hour ago it was 35F. Coldest temp of winter so far coming tonight.

pic after squall:

NWS is showing -28F for tomorrow morning. If that happens (BIG IF) that would break our all time record low. Then into mid 40s for the weekend. A 73 degree jump between Thursday morning and Monday afternoon.

And check out west suburban Aurora -35F tomorrow morning would be 1F from the all time record low for the state of Illinois.

I'm in the city, and we had a solid 30 minutes of heavy snow. Same thing in Nassau. I hardly remember what snow looks like...
