I see hundred of Brits everyday, since I live here in the continent and not on some farm in the prairies surrounded by prairie dogs quirking at the moon.
I agree with Traveller, most Brits look non-descript Europeans that could be from anywhere in Western Europe, there are strong regional variations..and that Miss Welsh in the pic is as representative as a black Chinese.
Some Americans think that all the people living in one place in Europe are ethnically from that region, ignoring the fact of vast internal migrations, so in Wales you have people from all around.
Of course there are Brits that look like Beckham, but they are a scant minority, as to the "Nordic" blahhh....Most of the British stock (80 percent or more) predates Germanic invasions after the withdrawal of Romans.
As to the fact that somebody with possibly imaginary British remote ancestors defends the "aryaness" of Brits, it just goes over me.
Finally someone who came in contact with brits on real life and not speaking out of his ass based on outdated maps or single pictures cherrypicked in the internet.
I agree, I find it ridiculous how many americans with possibly remote british ancestry come here to defend british "aryaness", and they certainly never been to the UK themselves. Many welsh people arent that different from people you see everyday in northern spain, no matter what the likes such as Saxonwold could claim. The nordic looking brit is a myth, there are a few around, but they are hardly representative.
What someone claims is different from scientifically verified facts. Your Neo-Nazi friends probably are claiming that all Germans are have blonde hair and light blue eyes too. I do not rely on just individuals for facts like that. Firstly 5 per cent blonde would be even lower than that Spain/Italy let alone France, would be more fit for Portugal. If you even used your 'cerebrum' and logic, without even going into scientific research, you should know that blonde is much more common than red hair and at least 10 per cent of the Welsh have red hair. Thus blonde hair ratio would be much more common than that. Only you need to do, instead of eating yourself with hate of British people is to just think. Concerning the Germanic aspect, yes Vikings/Norse were indeed blonder-haired on average than other Germanic people, Denmark is blonder than Germany even Nazis knew that much. The fact that they were more blonde, doesn't mean they were of a different race. The same way, there were Celts who had blonde/'orange' hair, while others had very dark brown hair, but were of the same group.

Who claims the players are southern european or spanish? but as a mass, when you receive tourists from different countries you can easily notice the different looks of them as a whole, and brits definitely dont look very nordic (not even close), they are a diverse bunch, most look like altantic folks, think in robbie williams, frank lampard, and others. The majority dont look like paul bettany for the god's sake, only a tiny minority.
Anyways those foootball players hardly have nordic facial structures, rather british ones.

No Welsh person in their right mind would be your friend, considering how you downgrade British people and culture, unless they're retarded! Well that shouldn't surprise me.Australia is not in Europe and is a much more diverse nation than any nation in Europe, though it was once a British colony. People came from all over the world to Australia, it is like a miniature America. The system was from the Anglo-Saxon colonists, maybe you should consider moving there, it has one of the highest standard of living and is more beautiful than most European countries.
Who ever said the Brits look Nordic? Having Nordic or Germanic ancestry is a very different thing from "looking Nordic".
No, Scandinavians have nordic/germanic ancestry and they look like such, as least the overwhelming majority, the same for the Dutch people and Northern germans. Finns are a mixed bag of nordic and finnic populations. The british rarely look that nordic/germanic.
