Usually after the PV splits, depending where it went, it remains cold or continues with multiple blasts for at least 4 weeks. So if these started last week, Im guessing February will have 2 blasts or 1 long one starting around the 10th. I hope things change in 5 weeks.

Zonal for 12 weeks of spring please.
Then a nice trough all summer.

Wow Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are as warm as Richmond.

Heavy fog in Austin. Gulf humidity and temps at the dewpoint. The highest temperature today will be at 11:59PM. It was in the 40's all day but this evening the Gulf wind kicked up, now it's 55, should be 60 by the morning. 67 and humid on tap tomorrow.

You have to be thankful for these swings because these swings are what give "juice" to the air so when the next cold front comes it can squeeze snow out.

Was snowing today at -7 degrees. Never seen snow fall at such cold temperatures. And its a weird kinda snow, almost translucent and blows really easily. So strange.

No it didn't. The minimum in Rochester was only -18C during last 3 days. https://forecast.weather.gov/data/ob...tric/KROC.html

I saw snow some days ago in the -20F range. I don't remember the exact temperature, but I remember looking at my phone seeing that it was some 20 something below temperature and seeing snow. Yeah it is quite light and it feels pretty different from "normal" snow.
