This will not be the 7th year since 1945 without snowfall.

Was just a couple miles south of this area today near LA, 2-3 inches of rain and flooded highways everywhere.

4 hour delay for flight back up to the Bay Area.

Looks mostly cold and windy tomorrow in Vancouver. The cold is forecast to remain for the next few weeks however the jet will be suppressed keeping us relatively dry.

With the jet pointed to our south...All models show Seattle to Portland seeing multiple rounds of snow starting on Thursday.

Wished we could ever get rain like that.

Tomorrow and Monday are forecast to be in the 50’s, then Tuesday is supposed to be in the 40’s, then rain for Wednesday and Thursday before it gets colder again next Friday and Saturday.
LOL What was there to talk about? It was 41F yesterday with clouds and lots of snow melting. Drizzle and rain today and tomorrow with temps peaking into the mid 50s. How fun.

Couple maps coming up...

Jet stream almost flat but far north for Winter standards.. You can see how the storm tracks would be with this...

With that said... Storm tracking from Pacific into Washington/Oregon

Snow for northern Tier

Meanwhile...... Thawing out

I just clicked through all the models on tropicaltidbits.com. Looks like winter is over, at least for the South.

If we can just get past this week, it looks like more winter like conditions will take hold for the rest of February.

Nothing barbaric like what we just experienced, but definitely winterlike if the CFSv2 and GFS are to be believed, BUT there's a catch. Watch the video embedded at the bottom

GFS says east coast not really going to get any consistent cold any time soon though and I'm to be just a little below average

Good video showing why winter might basically be over for the east coast and even the lower Midwest might not much of anything for the remainder of winter.

Euro shows big chunk of real estate cold centered over Northern Plains, Midwest gets in on it, but not really for east coast as Atlantic high keeps them insulated
