I tried to watch Cloud Atlas. I turned it off after 45 minutes, I couldn't get into it, i couldn't understand what was going on.

I watched Savages instead. Very good movie, a bit violent and gory, but I thought it was good.

continuing my personal jacques tati film festival, playtime (1967). this is another hulot adventure, but less so than m. hulot's holiday. a criterion collection netflix dvd, so the commentary on select scenes is excellent. tati apparently was tiring of the hulot character (which he plays) and playtime does have a smattering of him throughout, with several look alikes. intro by terry jones. this movie will take a few viewings to catch everything going on, so it's on the rewatch list. so much going on. the commentary points a few out, which i had caught. the glass waiting room with the hanging portraits, i recognized the one guy who was seated with a woman at the new restaurant.

Parental Guidance - at first a little bit slow but hilarious in the end.
Extraordinary Measure - I don't like Brendan Fraser that much but I do love Harrison Ford. The movie made me cry and afterwards I was grateful I have two healthy kids.

We finished the 4th season of Dexter. Great great season! Loved every single episode!

Bad Grandpa was the most recent movie I saw in the theaters. At home on DVD, I watched Perks of Being a Wallflower. That is a damn fine movie!

I watched "Vicky Christina Barcelona" again last night. Javier Bardem is just delicious.
