You know, G, that's a great way to word it & I felt exactly the same. It held my attention, but did I like it? I don't know... it was a quiet film & different. Yes, Natalie was a very good child actress. Did you see her film before this (when she was 13), Luc Besson's The Professional (sometimes called Leon: The Professional) with Jean Reno & Gary Oldman? Brilliant film.

The Elephant Man {1980} . Excellent, atmospheric movie. Has John Hurt put in bad performance anywhere, ever? Seeing a young, attractive Anthony Hopkins with hair was slightly surprising. Highly recommended.

What a coincidence, this was the last film I watched, and one of my all time favorites. The attention to detail by Lynch is really amazing.

Watched The Worlds End with Simon Pegg and group on HBO ON demand last night

Was really quite disappointed. I love those guys but this movie was pretty flat.

Tried to watch "Meet Joe Black" last night with Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt but I have a bit of trouble hearing all the conversation and it didn't have closed caption so I was kinda left in the dark. Only watched a half hour of it. I will try again soon

Saw Brokeback Mountain for the first time last night. What a depressing movie. I don't understand how it won an Oscar for the soundtrack ??????? There didn't seem to be any to speak of. The scenery was beautiful though.

"Hitlers Children". Documentary. Family descendants of high rank senior Nazi officers from Hitler’s inner circle struggle with the burden of carrying a terror-inducing surname.

"The Flat". Documentary of a man cleaning out his grandmother's flat and finds that his Jewish grandparents were close friends before and after the war with nazi Baron von Mildenstein.

Very interesting both.
