Somewhere, probably page 200 or somewhere, I might have already mentioned this movie but I just watched it again when i found it on Amazon Prime.
Silver Bullet. I just really really like this rather unpretentious werewolf movie. Probably the most 'realistic' werewolf scenario out there. Sweet, a little slow, just a little suspense
Agree on Pitch Perfect. Saw on HBO. Wouldn't want to have paid for it or gone out to see it but its a TV watchable movie.
Saw 1971's The Anderson Tapes starring Sean Connery, on TCM last night. Wow -- lots of early stars, including Christopher Walken and Garrett Morris! Classic "heist" film -- will they or won't they pull it off? Early use of surveillance cameras and computers -- kind of funny. One really annoying thing though, was some "computer" sound effect between scenes - very high-pitched and piercing.
Rewatched Galipoli (1981). Directed by Peter Weir (Picnic and Hanging Rock, The Year of Living Dangerously, Witness, The Mosquito Coast, Dead Poets Society, Green Card, The Truman Show, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World). 4 of 5 stars. Still.
Just saw Hotel Transylvania. Wife could hear me laughing. I was laughing at an Adam Sandler movie. Good cast of actors, funny story with a little heart. Much better than I expected.
Saw Homefront with Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder, and Kate Bosworth yesterday. Personally, I think all his movies are basically the same (kick the sh*t out of bad guys, lots of explosions, ect..... wait for release on Netflix....), but the wife loves him and it was her treat, so I couldn't complain. If the wife's happy, I'm usually happy. The movie was allright. Not really better or worse than most of his other movies. This one focuses around white trash, meth production, and a biker gang, so it's a slight changeup from his usual fare.
"The Lincoln Lawyer" starring Matthew McConaughey.
