'Chinatown', for my money the finest American film of the past 40 years.

Interesting... Last night, I watched "Savages" directed by Oliver Stone. Wonder how both casts compare?

la cammare secca (the grim reaper) (1962). similarities to rashomon, with the eye witness testimony and the story unfolding from these testimonies, and to the movie hitchcock was criticized for, stage fright (1950), where a flashback being told / seen is a lie. back to LCS: great ending. i gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. Omg, it was hilarious, I honestly didn't think it would be that funny. Sandra did a decent job and I loved seeing Bill Burr in it but the credit goes to a brilliant comedic performance of Melissa McCarthy, period.
