Pfizer is a 22 to 25 gauge needle. The same as a flu shot. A 25 gauge needle is tiny. Personally, I can't even feel it. It's not like getting a blood sample for lab work where the needle is much larger.

He is on a stand by basis officially. I think he will get it.
Yes, the Town is helpful in keeping us informed. I have volunteered to make some calls to seniors.

That is good to know. Thanks.

I'm extremely needle adverse, and it's one of the reasons I never used to get the flu shot. Why voluntarily get a needle if I don't need to?

But the needles used by the vaccines are tiny, and you don't feel it at all.

Well, here's an (isolated) data point from another (higher population) state that's doing the vaccine distribution better than us. My >75 mother in Ohio got her Pfizer vaccine this morning. Her age group was eligible as of 1/25, but she was able to book the appointment last week, ahead of the start of the Phase. The process itself was hassle-free, no long lines, etc.

I want to put up an image I have of Jack Elam with the lazy eye as Dr Nikolas Van Helsing from Cannonball Run with the lab coat and enormous hypodermic needle.

What no dune references?

Nyt is reporting on vaccinations and frankly unless it's a microstate the US is leading. The western world shows the most and Africa has hardly done anything. I still say there's a difference between the heath portion domestically and global economy.

This was Boston just six years ago

I don't think we can afford logistically to allow non vaccinated in and provide that up front. I've already heard of a tad of that. But If we don't have production overseas this could create xenophobia and use health an excuse.

J&J announced the results, sure enough it's not as effective as Pfizer or Moderna but still very effective at eliminating hospitalizations.

To repeat from 2 days ago.... Given the option of the two mRNA vaccines or J&J, I’d flush the J&J vaccine down the toilet. Maybe a booster shot improves the effectiveness?
