I noticed quite a few people on vacation last week, all different types of people. Someone complained to me they had wanted to go to Aruba but settled for FL. Apparently staying home on February vacation just wasn't an option for many. I wonder what April vaca will be like. I would have loved to have been somewhere warm as well, just doesn't seem worth it right now.

As much as I would have loved a real vacation to a warm destination, I was just happy my kids were having a great time at full-time camp last week. I would love to have another week of that--I could focus on work without distraction for hours at a time!

We did North Conway early last week. Only up there for 3 days. Came home, isolated the rest of the week and then got tested. Was pretty easy to social distance up there, and do take-out meals. Didn't really intermingle with anyone else so really wasn't a lot of risk. Was nice to look at walls other than our own.

Some schools are still remote, restaurants aren't at full capacity, most people are still working remotely...hard to think about huge concerts happening even in May.

I'm hoping late summer under the best case scenario, but even that I think is a long shot. Definitely not sooner.

As usual...Israel has their act together. This is one way we can get back to having music & sporting events. Here? The usual suspects will probably be squawking about control, 5G, and Bill Gates.

I'm curious if there will be typical attendance for concerts and sporting events even if they do open this summer. I am thinking it would be from mostly from healthy people in their 20's, 30's, 40's, 50s....and maybe that is the group that was frequenting these venues prior? I'm not really a concert goer and cant recall the last time I went to a big sporting event.

I’m hoping a lot of things will require a vaccine passport. Certainly, no other country will allow Americans in without proof of vaccination. Vermont just said that out of staters can freely travel without quarantine if they’re 2 weeks beyond their 2nd jab. I’d expect most nursing homes will have that policy for visitors. By the 4th of July, I’m hopeful that the anti Vax people will become second class citizens. The transmission rate for COVID-19 is so high that society can’t afford to have 40% of adults walking around perpetuating the plague and spawning mutations.
