They got a good shipment of vaccine yesterday. I would bet there would be a lot of openings tomorrow.

Yes, Baker just opened 50,000 more slots at the mass vaccination sites. But if you read further in the article, it indicates they're going to stay with the current demographic for another month or so. Pushes the schedule back further for Phase 3, IMO. I'd really like to see MA go the way of CT and go by age groups.

I was thinking they should give the J&J shipment to schools to get the teachers vaccinated.

I try not to use Amazon any more than necessary, but I’m admittedly guilty here. Yeah...I would hope my 70 year old family members could obtain vaccine appointments after a week multiple family members trying on their behalf. Particularly when considering that a neighboring state will be offering jabs to anyone aged 55+ in 5 days. I guess my expectations are out of whack.

From Baker's press conference today it sounded like it's tomorrow (Thursday). I did hear him sort of mention a waiting room feature. Thursday might end up being the day they release new appointments for the following week.

On another social media site, I see Phase 2 people from my town reporting getting appointments (first and second) as well as having received shots (first and second) in Haverhill, Lawrence, Danvers, even Gillette, and they're getting them at mass vaccination sites, hospitals, community centers, drugstores, schools, you name it... pretty much everywhere that's on the state website.

The doses are beginning to add up - according to the NYT, Massachusetts has given 16.1% of the state's population their first dose - that's no longer a trivial number of people, and 5.9% have also gotten their second dose.

Lovely. All the more reason we need to accelerate vaccination rates and penetration ASAP.

In case anyone was wondering why it has been tough to get an appointment.. They're an hour ahead of releasing the latest doses and there are 65k waiting to get one. Like shopping for a furby back in xmas of 1998.

Or even more recently the new game consoles. Just based upon what I've heard about that... don't be surprised if you spent a bunch of time waiting only to have the place you wanted taken.
