Fascism is the merger of the state and cooperations.. the state says Walmart must check passports in certain locations and then Walmart the cooperation refuses people to shop in their store if they do not have the vaccine passport. Very simple.

The mayor demands buisneses in Boston must refuse people who do not take covid vaccines. That is the very definition of fascism.
Not hardly. You are totally misinformed. Socialism is the state controlling the means of production. Fascism adds nationalism and authoritarianism to that. The National Socialist Party, for example. That Nazi term you fling around.

Nope. There are a bunch of informed people in this thread. None of them have linked to Turtle Boy Sports as a reference.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons for people to take issue with COVID related restrictions. Comparisons to Nazi Germany are both completely unnecessary and do a great disservice to the memory of anyone who suffered at the hands of the regime. I don't think that everyone making these comparisons actually believes them. Many are just too lazy and/or intellectually dishonest to actually put the effort into a reasoned argument in support of their case. Or they simply don't care about tragedy they're minimizing so long as it helps put an exclamation point on their point of view. Unfortunately, there are plenty of angry people incapable of rational thought who completely buy into these "NAZI!!!!" arguments because they're not equipped to know any better. I think we've seen a good deal of both on this forum.

It just feels like a lot of things happening with 'forcing' people to get vaccinated are not worth it...forcing pregnant city employees who will be going on maternity leave soon? Not worth it.

Right, and those are pretty reasonable arguments against (or at least for exceptions from) some of the vaccine requirements. Nobody needs to make nonsensical comparisons to Nazi Germany in order for those points to be valid.

But they're already 'forced' to be vaccinated against rubella, measles, polio, Hep B, etc. What's the big deal with adding another to the list? Pregnant women are already recommended to get the flu and Tdap vaccines.

You'd have to ask them what the big deal is. I know pregnant people who did have the vaccine. I guess that's the thing about people's bodies particularly when they are carrying another human...they should be given the choice. I dont think any pregnant people are getting vaccinated for rubella, measles, polio, Hep B while they are pregnant either. I cant tell you the last time I had any of those shots...have you had those recently? I think those are shots people get as children.

When i was pregnant i got the flu shot...but that shot has been around for a while. I again dont think it's unreasonable that a pregnant person might not want a newly created vaccine.

No, definitely not while pregnant for those ones. That was more in reference to non-pregnant city employees.

How long does it need to be around before it isn't new anymore? 5 years?
