Yes, this is a prime reason, arguably the most important one, for vaccination - the death toll is greatly reduced among the vaccinated. The anti-vax group use lines like "you can still die if you're vaccinated, so therefore there is no rationale for vaccination". However, it's NOT a small matter that while some among both the vaccinated group and the vaccinated group die, your odds of death are actually 10x higher if you're unvaccinated! It's intentionally misleading rhetoric being employed, instead of scientific facts.

I don't expect you guys to buy it, because of your politics. But you were wondering where the fascism stuff is coming from, and I touched on it a bit. This stuff doesn't come completely out of left field.

It absolutely wouldn't...because fascism is far right!

No. I don't buy it because it's complete and utter nonsense. It has nothing to do with my politics. When your best justification for the sentiment is a meme and a made up headline about a made up scenario, it's objectively clear that the sentiment is bogus. It has all of the hallmarks of the craziest conspiracy theories:
  • Shadowy, secretive bad guys (govt/coprorations/media in this case)
  • Vague, sinister intentions ("take away our freedoms!" in this case)
  • No hard evidence, but plenty of loose correlations touted as "proof!"
  • Ignoring any/all of the overwhelming evidence that doesn't support the theory

Even the "because of your politics" line in your post is a perfect example of the conspiracy line of thinking. Did it occur to you that people don't "buy it," simply because there's nothing to substantiate it? Of course not. It must be political bias .

Only to the extent it was co-opted by Mussolini. Its roots come from the philosophy of Giovanni Gentile, who was deeply rooted in far leftist authoritarianism.

I don't believe you, but OK.

I am not arguing the Biden administration is fascist, by the way. I am just saying that when an administration is zealously pushing something (these vaccines) where the reality on the ground does not match the supposed benefits the government is claiming, and they're co-opting corporations to push it (not to mention turning over every rock to see how they can censor any free discussion about what the hell the end game of all of this is supposed to be)...I am just saying, that's why the "F" word starts appearing.

I still don't see you explaining, using actual political theory, why this it's erroneous to think this way. All I hear is your ego howling because you're a Democrat. Perhaps I'm being unfair.

So what are you arguing? You've repeatedly claimed that there's an international conspiracy between the government, corporations, and the media with the sinister goal of taking away our freedoms. But you're also "not arguing the Biden administration is fascist?" What do you actually believe?

I know why the "F-word" is appearing. It happens every single time something is enacted on a large scale by the government and somebody doesn't like it. It has happened with seatbelt laws, drivers license and ID requirements, gun laws, helmet laws, other vaccine and medical requirements, basically any time Trump said anything when he was President, etc. Most of the time, there's opportunity for the private sector to benefit too. Just because people call cry "fascist!" doesn't mean they're right. In most cases, even the failed efforts are intended for the greater good and don't result in America's decline into fascism.

Because there's nothing to apply political theory to apart from your hunch. You've provided zero evidence of what you're alleging. Generally, the burden of proof falls on the person making the allegation. If you want an explanation using "political theory," provide evidence of your claim rather than your hunch alongside a meme and a story you made up.

Passenger removed from flight by state police for refusing to wear a mask:

https://www.boston.com/news/local-ne...o-wear-a-mask/

I guess this is the world we live in now....people know the rules are that you have to wear a mask when you get on a plane. Im not sure why you would bother to get on a plane and refuse to wear the mask to be escorted off by police.
