Americans seem to get annoyed when someone speaks truth about the real origin of british Islanders, because they have to defend their whiteness to all cost (considering vast majority of white americans have tons of colonial british blood), but like that silly concept of whiteness is alien to europe most brits dont give a damn about that and even embrace their older than previously assumed european origins.
Weird race-obsessed thread, wont hang around for long. Just wanted to chime in and correct this bit of misinformation. The overwhelming majority of Americans do not have "tons of colonial british blood." Most Americans have zero British "blood". British is the 3rd or 4th largest ancestry depending how you count it. It is far surpassed by German and Irish ancestry. German is the largest ancestry among Americans, with no other origin even coming close.
And of course, saying that the concept whiteness is alien to Europe and pretending it emerged in the US is completely contrary to history.
These are the "dark Celtic" types which were traditionally more frequent in western parts of Britain and in Ireland, however people have moved more around. Nevertheless, they aren't the dominant type, actually some of the most beautiful women hails from this group. People seem to exaggerate and say that is dominant. Nonsense, this type is exotic and frankly very good-looking. Zeta Jones isn't your average Welsh woman!
