Then he gingerly tiptoes in the direction that he thinks the wind is blowing but is ready to do an about-face at the first sign of changing political sentiment. No thanks! I'll take the principled governor who stands up for the rights of the people any day.

The latter is the type of governor that Florida usually elects. Somebody that stays out of your business. There are 22M people in this state, we all aren’t going to agree on everything. Let everyone enjoy their piece of paradise without the political nonsense.

He has no problem getting into womens' wombs, or under drag queens' skirts, or kids education. He's getting WAY into everyone's business, and legislating it in the process.

So why don't you move to a state that is more in keeping with your social beliefs? There are plenty to choose from.

Or is it because that in spite of those complaints you have, the positives of living in Florida FAR outweigh the negatives (as you perceive them).

Apparently, a lot more people are perceiving Florida in a positive light judging by those who vote with their feet (by moving).

Or he might have family here and Ron will be leaving in 2 years.

Exactly, there will be no 3rd term, no Presidency...meatball Ron will most likely be a talking head on Faux News in a few years.

MAGA logic = "Well you don't like it, just leave!"

Most Florida families were here before Rhonda Santis and will be after him too.

My observation on that is that 1) Florida has a lot of inbound retirees. 2) Retirees (just an anecdotal observation) watch a lot more political media. 3) I'm sure a large percentage of these inbound retirees are moving from higher tax, democratic strongholds looking for less of that.

People that watch too much political media end up becoming obnoxious and loud publicly about politics.

If DeSantis was doing something about home insurance, Florida would not have the HIGHEST premiums in the US.

And for all the people who say "just move inland" well, here you go! In just two years, the premium on a Loxahatchee home has jumped from $3,900 a year to over $14,000.

https://www.wptv.com/money/real-esta...ord-it-anymore

This is starting to feel like a deliberate effort to make people move out of Florida altogether. And it appears to be working.

According to a new survey, 81% of Floridians are "very concerned" about insurance premium increases and 66% are considering moving out of the state.

The conspiracy is working.

You blame insurance costs increasing on DeSantis but do you blame the price of everything else increasing on Biden?

It was kinda already increasing around 2019, way before Biden was sleepwalking during the day around the White House
