Pretty much indistinguishable from the Edmonton forecast.

And some people are saying the east is not getting its fair share of cold weather?

Funny...but true Video from Vic. Lmao.

So true about Floridians bragging about their warmth in winter. Lol.

Take a look... Current Radar and Upper heights. Trough axis is west of us. It's sending too much warm up the East. Need that dig to be over the Southeast. Good spot for you but not this time. Too much warmth with the precip.

45F in Buffalo right now at 10pm while mid 30s in Louisiana. 50 in Philly. 58 in Richmond.

And here comes my rain. Looks like a lot of it from a Gulf of Mexico fetch

Saw where there were some reports of wintry precip in the Houston area today and across east Texas.

Pretty much just cold rain in central Louisiana though I heard that one airport in the area recorded sleet. I couldn't tell for sure if any ice pellets were falling mixed with heavy rain while I was driving.

It was 63F in the early morning hours, but since 10:30 AM it's been in the 30's. Strong wind gusts as the front came through; the airport recorded a gust of 51 mph.

I ended up with 1.81" of rain. 7.24" for the month so far and 15.32" since Dec 1.

Morning started off cold and windy (36F with 30 MPH wind). It warmed to around 52 under sunny skies and now there is no wind at all. Now it's around 42F.

Looks promising, but unfortunately unlikely. A week out and it's likely to moderate.

I hope to be wrong though. If we can get some more near-zero lows over here I'll set up a tent in my backyard. Seems like a good opportunity good to test out my -20 degree sleeping bag.

Cold air just brushing Edmonton tonight. Temperature has dropped to -23°C but that's as cold as it will get for the foreseeable future. Temperatures to rise by morning with nothing remotely close in the future. Up to plus 7°C by Saturday.

Meanwhile in Winnipeg it's -19°C and dropping fast. That's likely as warm as they'll get for the foreseeable future.

Never posted Monday's daytime max. Much of New England & upstate NY barely made it past the single digits; coldest day in decades by 24 hour max for a lot of New England but by noon to 8 pm last year had a day almost as cold as it had it warmer early morning and a fast drop over the day; think 2016 had a similar day. This cold day started very cold and stayed cold

here's that very cold day last year; western upstate NY and northern New England was colder that time, central New England and eastern NY including NYC much colder this time

Spoiler

notice western PA cooled down fast at 10 pm while downstate NY and New England barely changed, too windy

Maybe for you, for us it'll mean storm tracks going up the coast too close and pulling up mild, moist air.

ah you beat me to answering that. Freezing level in the Whites is now at 5300 feet, mountains will lose lots of fresh snowpack
