Harkin hopeful unemployment extension will pass tonight « Iowa Independent
This has been the worst emotional rollercoaster ride I've ever been on. I can no longer afford to get my hopes up. But of course, I'm hopeful.

I think they're unfortunately more concerned about how many burgers to order for their parties this weekend though.

i'm really surprised they're doing this. it may actually happen today considering unemployment told me to call for my next tier next week instead of eb..they might know something we don't about what will happen today. i can't see them going to 4th of july without it passing either without people losing faith in the government..but who knows..like Frrrunkis said..i refuse to put myself in another emotional rollercoaster ride today..if it doesn't pass today, it will on the week of july 12

Possible vote tonight in the senate?
Read this:
Harkin Hopeful Unemployment Benefits Extension Will Pass Tonight « The Washington Independent

I thought I read that the Senate recessed on a CONDITIONAL basis.

Sounds to me like ol' Harry got wind of Harkin's comments this morning, and scolded him for trying to interfere with his plans of catching the early flight out of Washington. Party on Harry.

It wouldnt even surprise me if the Senate voted today.... I doubt many of them are gone for recess... that would be disrespectful to Byrd. I would think all would be there for that... but maybe I'm wrong. They may just leave after the service. Byrd would have never done that though... I don't think Reid would miss the services.... it is huge that Byrd is in the chamber in repose...
