You mean like the Delta variant and the 475,000 people that died that year (2021 was by far the most deadly since onset). Honestly where do you come up with this stuff?

I don't know how any one could take a vaccine that's not been around or tested for at least ten years.

There was I think dating sites that had members that would not date people who got the shot thinking that if they had sex with them they would get the spike protein in them. There is a theory of shedding that it can be transferred through even sweat. I don't know if I believe that.

People like myself who never got the shot refer themselves as pure bloods and it has nothing to with race.
No, there are not batches with "higher doses".

Yes, heart problems are rare. Myocarditis happens but almost universally resolves with no after effects.

No, you cannot "get the spike protein" in you from having sex with a vaccinated person.

No, the spike protein does not "shed", "even in sweat".

You're armed with actual facts and science. It's a losing battle, believe me.

Myocarditis is not minor...it is serious. A heart can not repair itself like other organs can.

Delta...wasn't that after the shot that saved us all. And since then all we've gotten is way more mutations.

https://medicine.yale.edu/news-artic...0second%20dose.

"What would you like to say to those concerned about getting vaccinated due to myocarditis risk?

Iwasaki: First of all, myocarditis after vaccination for the most part appears to be transient, and these patients recover. In comparison, getting COVID could lead to more severe, more prolonged myocarditis. Secondly, there are ways to reduce the risk for myocarditis, like spacing apart the first and second dose. And now that we have seen enough of these cases, doctors are learning how to treat these events when they do occur. And it’s also important to emphasize that instances of myocarditis have not been seen after the booster doses. So it’s mostly confined to the second dose of the primary series, and we shouldn’t be expecting these things to occur for future booster doses. And if the COVID boosters become like an annual flu vaccine, we wouldn’t expect myocarditis to occur because they are spaced so far apart."

No...the humor here is how people can go so far down multiple rabbit holes that they can no longer see daylight.

Since the last update earlier this week, they actually jumped higher than pre-Labor Day last year, with colleges and schools about to open. AND we don't have a booster coming for another couple of weeks, well after the start of classes, so it can increase quite a lot unchecked. Likely also less remaining immunity, since the last boosters were so long ago, and we had a long lull in cases. And last fall was a mess.
I don't know about ringing alarm bells - our government does quite the opposite all the time, telling us all will be fine if we just wash hands and get vaccinated with a yearly outdated booster. (mRNA tech is fast, but our government is sloooooow). Long covid is rarely brought up by public health officials, they only are concerned with deaths and hospitalizations (which are measured differently now that hospitals no longer routinely test for covid, so can't be used to compare across years).

Finding it hard to jibe the above with the Globe article I just posted yesterday. Especially the 97% "baseline" immunity...presumably a combo of vaccinated / boosted + those who've had it. How can that number possibly be worse than last year at this time?
