Life has to go on for people. not to mention there's a whole slew of other things that will likely kill people aside from covid (cancer being the main one)

And one that often was left untreated during the "pandemic."

Yes, I know quite a few people who have had cancer/tumor diagnoses in the past year. cancer is just scary. It doesn't seem to matter how healthy you are, it can get you. Thankfully there's more being done to detect it earlier and treat it, but still not something you want to get.

Your recollection. Mr Dee's also.

In context, it was far from accurate.

March of 2021 was not "a good point to start looking at changing gears in how restrictions were handled". Too many unknowns, hardly anyone was "fully vaccinated", and it wasn't even clear if the vaccines were effective.

And in hindsight, it would have been an absolutely horrible time...with the Delta variant around the corner. During an approximate one month span in Spring of 2021, it took out over 4 million people in India.

If you have cancer, the last thing you need is to get covid. All of this talk about covid being like just a cold or the flu, that's not how it works if you're immunocompromised.

Cancer is bad with or without covid

Covid makes it much worse. A person with treatable cancer can easily die if they get covid.

And it's not just people with cancer. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, smokers, etc. I'm talking about people who likely have a lot of good years left, but not if they get covid.

There are things you can do to prevent high blood pressure, obesity, smoking...you can do all the right things and still get cancer.

Yes, but that's kind of irrelevant.

msRB, recently you said something about people in nursing homes go there to die. Well yeah, but...of natural causes, not covid.
