Quiet weather for a while..No more LaNina conditions..We are now Neutral phase. We had been rising since February..

I do see some crazy storms showing up on the 18th and 29th.. The 29th starts off in the Gulf as MAYBE a tropical system and ride up the east coast..

Both long term dates so take it with a grain of salt.

Hello

I have another question for some of the long term CT residents, when do you guys actually get summer here? I am use to on average over 200 hundred days of sunshine in a year and right now I am going through with draws big time! I do not mean this as a slam to CT. it is really beautiful here but I really am beginning to wonder does the sun ever stay out here for more then a few days? Is there an actual summer time here?

Missing the sunshine

One of the reasons it is so green and beautiful here is that we do get rain regularly. Right now we are still in a spring season which is wetter than normal. It should be in the low 80's today but it will only be in the 60's and there will be rain. In a few weeks it should dry out a bit and get warmer. July and August are normally in the upper 80's and lower 90's during the day and it usually rains less often. Of course, being New England, you never know if this will be what happens or not. We could have a cool and wet summer whihc has happened. Jay

Why all the excitement after the fact? It won't change anybody's insurance reimbursement, will it?

CT averages 1.3 Tornadoes a year.. I can't believe there was one on June 9th ! Thats nuts and another reason why people need to be alert with ANY storm. I cant stress the IMPORTANCE of being alert!

Here's a video from it.

Why not June 9? Plenty of heat going north by that time of year.

Didn't Mark Twain back in his Hartford days say "if you don't like the weather in New England, just wait 5 minutes"?

And that cool, wet summer BTW was as recent as 2009.......

Hope you all are enjoying the 50s. Who would have thought 50s in June. Some spots might even see upper 40s tonight.

That sun angle must be distorted due to strange refraction phenomena
