The snow has hung on pretty well here, at least in the shade. The last two days at the airport have been 39/28 and 38/27 (today so far). Nice little event; this is better than the worst (as in least snowy) winters here already.

Merry Christmas Eve

What an airmass. Currently it's Sub Zero over the Mid West with the Front pushing East.

Unfortunately I had to stay here for christmas.

Anyway, the weather is pretty bad. 13c today !!! but as usual here, it's pretty crap if it's mild in the winter: fog, very low visibility and dp up to 10c.

Some rain is forecast for tomorrow, and the weekend should be colder and sunnier, but of course we're lockdowned for the duration of the christmas holidays, until the schools open again. This country sucks.

I highly doubt you had a high of 48 followed by a low of 3 .
This isn’t a polar vortex kind of cold. Just regular winter chill.

Thinning but I still have a snowpack and its gonna be 50s and rain on Christmas Eve. SMH.
Would of been a White Christmas tomorrow.

9 Days in a row with snow on ground. Amazing for December here!

Record Tied at the coast..
7 Consecutive Days with 5"+ of snow on the ground in December. Only 1948 had this many days in a row..

6 consecutive days of 6"+ was broken yesterday.

Wonder what was on the ground this morning.

I have a feeling with the way the models are trending now it will be like last year and the storms will start traveling through the Great Lakes instead of off shore. So rain, rain, rain and more rain with some snow/ice possible. Sad all the 3 foot we got here in upstate is going to melt and flood the streets and then ice up. Hopefully we get some more big ones.
