Stupid weather channel calling this Christmas weather dramatic cold. There is nothing dramatic about it. It’s going to be close to or well above average in most places. Only the mountains and deep south will see colder than normal weather. Port Huron has a high of 26. Average high is 30.

Another winter storm brewing, probably will get 6" of fresh powder on top of our current 5" for a very White Christmas

Lucky you WOW! What a start! I still have snow on the ground which is not common for December this long.

And yeah.... here it comes! Blizzard conditions this morning in South Dakota & Nebraska. Look at the Wind Gust reports! 60+mph

Bottom snow edge making it into Kansas almost as the Jet Stream dips down to Texas

Heaviest snow looks to stay east of us over Ohio. We may get a dusting to a half inch tonight into tomorrow morning. It certainly looks like there will be no white Christmas again for us. Just cold. Last year we were at 62F for our 4th warmest Christmas ever. The day after topped out at 65F! This year we'll be lucky to get to 20F which could be one of our top 10 coldest Christmases ever as far as the high goes.

My Christmas Even and Christmas Day look to be cold and windy but dry. High Thursday 32, low 15 with 15-25 winds. Christmas day will be high 39, low 27.
Our next chance at snow looks to be around New Years eve.

Same forecast for my parents, except the cold is shifted over the weekend. Christmas will be a wonderful day. High of 55 with sun. Next day we will drop down to a high around freezing.

Yesterday was great hiking weather. Hit 65 and was sunny all day. Wish our winter was always like that. Very dry, hit 30 for a low this morning. Back to the upper 50s before the rain comes overnight.

High for Christmas keeps coming down. Now at 33. Would be surprised if we break that. Lots of shaded areas that are gonna be cold all day long. Low the 26th of 20. Could hit 18 or 19 in spots.

Will warm up to the mid 50s Sunday but sheesh the long term forecast is nothing but 50 +/- 1 or 2 degrees for the highs. Low/mid 30s for lows. Been a mostly chilly winter so far. Really hoping it warms up some. Going to FL for a few days mid January. Just my luck that's when we'll hit 70 in Atlanta.

I think 50 F is ideal hiking weather. That’s when I feel most comfortable doing long hikes.
