But we paid for that in December of the same year... 13 ABOVE normal in NYC the whole month and they never got below freezing. Hell at Central Park they had a 63°F LOW... To have more 60°F lows than lows below freezing in December...

Damn, updated Euro not running as cold for the eastern two thirds of CONUS. Actually has me above average for the winter

I just hope that if it is a cold winter that it at least has the decency to have at least a couple of respectable snow or ice storms to go along with it, nothing would be worse than a record cold and a record dry winter.

no thanks

Latest Euro suggests a dry winter for the Great Lakes and parts of the midwest. Keep in mind you can still have above average snow in a drier than normal winter.

Looks like the east coast may finally be getting a long awaited front loaded winter per the last few runs of the gfs.

Better than the coming "extended fall" in the northwest.

What a joke. Warmest winter on record in Vancouver.

^^

I think the Midwest will have near normal snow. Probably no blockbuster storm though as the storm track will be suppressed south. Likely lots of Clipper systems this winter.

Bastardi saying 1963 might be an analog for December

I just want CHNAGE! I want a winter like 95-96 when it was active and wet. Cold then warm it up and rain and then get it cold and windy every few days. I loved the winter of 1995-96.
