Cool look. You can see when the Polar Vortex moves back around towards Canada it pushes the cold trough down further into Western U.S. Looks like the PV gets stretched out at the end and heading toward Europe. Hope it comes back around this way afterwards!

This makes me think that winter will open mild or even a blowtorch here. I cant stand it when we have positive and negative anomalies in all the wrong seasons.

Quasi-zonal flow will be horrid for December. I'm hoping for North Atlantic blocking and some colder air. Most of the US is a climate fail for too much warmth and humidity, but Snowbelt areas will do well for at least a few weeks this month. West Coast south of central Oregon still looks quite dry. California fire danger is still quite high.

Wished i was tired of them. I was painting outside just now and can't take the insane heat and gave up. Mid Nov and Aug temps and dew points.
