Back on December 5th I jinxed things.
It warms my heart to see posts like these. I highly doubt this winter will be a bust for snow lovers, but I’d like for this pattern to stick around and eat away as much winter as possible.

It’s really the cold that I don’t want, a lack of snow is just collateral damage.

And normal max is 60s.

I love how people use elevation to justify a cold temp or snowfall even when its below normal or near record. Lol.

I have my fireplace ready, going to get groceries then I'll light the first fire of the year. We had some cold weather in November and early December but my oak wood was still curing so I couldn't burn it yet. I cut it early July so I needed to wait 6 months. It's more or less cured now so time to light it!
I would sure trade ya the 90's we are seeing in southwest FL today.

New Years Eve:

Another Storm. Another Week. Another Waste.

All storm tracks for this month. Dec 16th came close to giving us a snowstorm. Mid levels temps were too warm with that one. Oh well. No coastal storm came up the coast this month. Most of them stayed west of the Coastal plain

The North Carolina snowstorm was the pink track.

Nothing very winter-like here. More above normal than below for the 8-10 day
