I dont know which one is correct either Monday sounds more possible.
Earlier the better! Though I still think alot of us won't actually see benefits until the following week...possibly even the week after that knowing the speed of some of our state agencies.

Just a reminder: If the bill which Reid plans to present for a vote on Tuesday is HR 4213 -- which it appears to be, given the emphasis in the news reports on the need for 60 votes for passage -- after being passed by the Senate, HR 4213 must be returned to the House for another vote before it can be sent to the President for his signature.
The version of HR 4213 presently before the Senate is an amended version of the bill passed by the House. So the House must approve those amendments before the bill can be signed into law.
I still don't understand why Reid is pushing HR 4213, knowing that it has had as many problems as it's had. What happened to the stand alone bill? Not the House bill, but the one that drew votes from Snowe and Collins before the July 4th break?

Yep, definitely sounds like Reid is still pushing HR4213 rather than the stand alone bill from the House.
Since the census received $1B of ARRA funds, do you suppose they include the census jobs in their numbers?
There would be no doubt in my mind. That pads their numbers by a near 500K. Of course, those 500K jobs are being wiped out this month (and last month). So, yeah...while I have a HUGE problem with the claim of 2.5M-3.6M jobs saved or created in the first place...I really wonder, of the jobs actually created, how many were temp? How many of those new jobs ended up being eliminated?
I'll tell you what though...this is more reason to do a census every 6 months and make all those temp jobs permanent. It could become yet another bloated agency.
