That's my plan for tomorrow ... Rough week ... Trying to get used to commuting an average of 5-6 hours to work .... Hey ... At least I have more hours but getting home around 7-8pm when I leave my home around 5:30-615am is draining ... At least this is only a few months .... Have an interview for a full-time position on the 1st.... Let's see how it goes ....

Good luck on that interview.
And I was upset yesterday when my normal 10-15 minute drive home took almost a half hour because of the snow.
When you open the door for people at a store and they don't say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rude. Rude. Rude! I will sometimes say "you're welcome" back to them! LOL Do they think I'm their personal doorman? LOL
manners, yes...they are increasingly rare today. Sometimes I wonder if some people were raised in a barn.
At the office there is a huge security door, I try to hold it open for whoever is behind me...now if a guy is in front of me, sometimes they hold it open but sometimes let it slam shut in your face...
kind of like in NYC when people step on your feet on the subway or elevator. Only there its not intentional, theres just no room. lol. I have yet to see an example of "southern chivalry". I think it has been been "Gone with the Wind" since the 1850's.

Thanks you guys ... I don't know if this particular job is right for me or not but we shall see. I tend to struggle with interview anxiety especially when there's a large panel of 6-10 interviewers. I just pray that there isn't any stupid role playing exercises as I really struggle doing those.

That's the problem with interviewing in the academic circle...they come up with "inventive" new games to play with applicants' heads, don't they? But, boy, I'd like to see you get away from that nasty commute.

Same here ... I love the college I'm working at but 40+ miles via mass transit isn't easily doable. Thank goodness, I am paid well at that campus and well-respected so it's worthwhile. If they were able to hire me on full-time, then I'd relocate as I could not do it 5-days per week. The good thing is that this commute is only for a few months and it isn't every day.

Hang in there my friend...I'm confident you'll do well on your interview.
