Up now at 35 MPH per 2PM -- It'll probably get named Arthur if it strengthens to 40 MPH (tropical storm strength)

Everybody excited about humidity building in and 70+ Dewpoints? The high 92 low 75 degrees with high humidity type of weather? I prefer what we had last weekend but some prefer the humid

I'm from the UK, and this is my first time experencing the tropical summer weather on the East Coast! Between the temps near 90 F and the humidity, I feel like the old time English travels to exotic tropical lands in India and south Asia - lol.

It is quite interesting to feel this type of weather, back home we used to think 21 C was hot -lol. I also noticed the ocean is quite warm off Conn/NYC, I was in the Long Island Bay and it was so warm. Next week we are slated to take travel by auto even further southward into the subtropical provinces, perhaps to Charleston, SC. I have yet to see my first palm tree in America!

Too close for comfort? National Hurricane Center now forecasting it to become a Hurricane (most likely minimal) and pass couple hundred miles off Long Island.

Nice road trip, enjoy! The heat and humidity will increase as you head south and the air conditioning will be cranked up indoors. I tend to always bring a cardigan with me, as you are boiling hot outside and then will step indoors to a freezing cold restaurant.

I am watching this potential hurricane with interest, as I am traveling Thursday evening/night (along with many others, I am sure). I hope it isn't a steady deluge, though admittedly we could use the rain around here.

Not sure where your travelling to but it's only the closer to the coast you are the more impacts you get. The front is what you'll encounter with rains and maybe storms.

The Tropical System IS NO BIG DEAL. Only North Carolina area needs to watch it. Other than a breeze & rip currents I'm not expecting more for us here in CT.

It's not a strong storm and it's staying too far off shore.

High pressure and Dry air behind it. We'll see how everything plays out. Will the front kick it out more? Will the Bermuda High push it West more? Ect

Yup.. hard to get a good balance all the time huh. Too much or Not enough every few weeks it seems. Beginning of June I was begging the rain to stop. Now Only 1/2" of rain in almost 3 weeks and I'm begging for it to rain. lol
