Actually I don't but I tend to erase those memories. Haha.

Slowwww moving cold front dropping ton of rain and storms from PA to Maine right now.

Flood watch in Litchfield.

Weekend looking pretty dry and not as warm and muggy

Models fighting the 90s idea too.. that's the summer theme. No intense or long lasting heatwaves and 90s hard to come by

Back in HS my guidance counselor convinced me of the same thing (plus that it required some physics courses which was my Achilles heel) and ended up doing IT because it was the 1980s version of the "go into plastics" advice in the movie The Graduate.

Now my son has the big interest in meteorology, but he's only 13 so we'll see.....

Awesome. Get him into atmospheric science. Weather and atmosphere go hand in hand but having a degree in Atmospheric Science is key for other avenues in the field. Plus its not something every weathernut does.

But nowadays I feel noaa is expanding and so they need new and young weather blood. there's always opportunities somewhere.

Good to know, thanks!

I see forecasts now show mid-upper 80s today, hopefully our 90-less June streak sticks!

Cold front now into Eastern CT. You will feel the difference tomorrow morning. I know Cam's anxiously waiting.. lol

Get ready for another great weekend with dewpoints in the 50's! What is this 4 in a row now?

QUIET WEATHER EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND WITH HIGH PRESSURE SITUATED OVER THE REGION. WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE 50S TO LOW 60S AND A MUCH DRIER ATMOSPHERE...IT WILL DEFINITELY START OFF FEELING MUCH COOLER THAN THE PAST FEW DAYS. TEMPERATURES WILL REBOUND BUT REMAIN IN THE UPPER 70S TO LOW 80S.

But did you see what happens after that?? The weekend High pressure goes out into the Atlantic and Bermuda High is formed. Dewpoints into the 70s possible next week.

And here's latest Euro12z for Bridgeport, CT. Temps don't look hot even though these aren't the "max".

85° at 7pm.

Very Warm & Muggy Evening here while low 60s in Eastern MA.
Another backdoor cold front. I think that's like 5 times in last 2 months.
