I think the use of phony government documents is egregious and often a felony.

It's very easy to get a fake vax card even today. A year ago someone was selling them downtown outside of Petco Park.

Perhaps somebody should have reported that person selling them.

This was back before anyone even knew what we were about to embark on. You could get them on ebay and craigslist sent to your house too. Still can.

I call BS. There was no rollout a year ago, 12/2/2020. See First coronavirus vaccine shots given outside trials in US.

Does an exact date turn you on? We've had vaccines and fake cards since "insert date here" which means squat. Kinda weird to need a static date? Much like where did it come from, what lab. I'm not logging dates. You can if that floats your boat. Means nothing today.

A year ago means any day in 2020. Unless the date system bothers you. If I said exactly a year ago, 365 or 366, right? Semantics.

But, you do you. Why does that bother you? No one else seems to give a shard.

The cards and their fake versions emerged as quickly as the vaccine rolled out, so I agree. Someone saw an opportunity and got in on the ground floor, then all the rest followed suit. That said, I don't think the fake vax cards are that big of a deal. Though making it a big deal will force the hand of big brother to go the extra mile and that never turns out well. Unfortunately, I see that as an inescapable eventuality. I envision some sort of more official "I'm vaccinated" documents than a flimsy card that we'll all have to endure at some point in the near future.

edit: Not too long ago I saw a guy wearing his vax card on a lanyard in a store.

We went to the Sacramento Farm to Fork festival a few months ago and they wouldn't accept the paper vax card, you had to show them the official one on your phone, or get a rapid covid test.

But the paper vax card is, unless counterfeit, official, and some of us haven't been given anything digital.
