I think the 'walkie talkie' is pretty ugly. We have a structural flaw with a skyscraper in Leeds too - it creates a fierce wind tunnel and causes trucks to fall on people.
How can you call that hodeous when you are from paris? There are no skyscrapers there.
Even if it was true (it's not, as B87 pointed out), I don't see why I would need to live in a skyscraper-filled city to find a building ugly or not. Btw, living in Paris makes me de facto an expert on hideous highrises, as a lot are far worse than the 20 Fenchurch Street bldg. It's an opinion btw, I have no problem with people calling it stunning.

Exactly. Paris is not only Haussmann, there's a lot of nice 70's commieblocks as well. And the arch leading to La Défense is particularly hideous.
And as you've all seen in my pictures, there's a huge range of houses in this city as well. Helsinki is even better in this sense.
I wish London had more skyscrapers... for a city of over 8 million people it does not have that many to be honest. Obviously it will never be like New York or Tokyo but they should add some new tall buildings :P
