Still early but keeping an eye on the forecast for next week. Saying there's a possibility of rain turning to snow on Christmas eve into Christmas morning. And possibly even Christmas day...

A white Christmas is a possibility here in Indy but a week out, there's still a lot of variables, mostly how quick precipitation from a system Wednesday-Thursday moves out. What we do now is temps will plummet from near 50F on Wednesday to only in the upper 20s on Thursday. And Christmas Day could start off in the single digits and barely make it to 20F during the day. Rain Wednesday may stick around long enough to change over to snow Wednesday night into Christmas Eve morning. The possibility is there for an inch or two just in time for Christmas. Stay tuned.

Atlanta had a white Christmas in 2010 if I recall.

GFS has the 540 line as far south as Gainesville and St Augustine Florida. Trough looks negative tilted, too with rain in Maine. Let's see what happens!

Lots of snow melting today. Not sure how that's possible, considering that it's 32f and overcast. But manhattan has a massive underbelly (sewers, subway, gridlines, etc) that's warm year round, so maybe that has an effect on ground temps.

Yea it snowed but it was more of a dusting for Christmas day. I think the day after looked better snow wise.

Very little melting here. Sublimation only. No sun so that's helping. Temps staying in the 20s.
