There's something brewing for Jan 25-26 time period...
Now 7 days away. plenty of time (and headaches) still but here's the tracks from the latest Models. ..
Black/Yellow: Euro and Canadian stay south too much with a weak wave.
Red: GFS keeps the 2 systems separate so we get light snow to rain here but a good snowstorm for New England.
GFS Para (which is the newer version of the GFS) has a nice track
Chilly 30 degrees in Lake City FL this morning. Drove to Cedar Key and it quickly warmed to 45. Was largely in the low 60s from near Orlando down through Sebring and S side of Lake Okeechobee. Pretty much 10 degrees below average and cloudy. Not great FL weather but not awful. 40s and windy back home so I'm ok with it.
Had a light snowfall most of the day yesterday but nothing stuck. Snow tonight will mostly stay south of us. Some parts of southern Indiana could see 2-3 inches. We will likely have a dusting a best.
Well, no polar vortex now. Gfs 6z is not having it. Don’t think winter is coming this year. That one 3 foot storm was great but even if we get a little more big ones we will still be below average on snowfall but way above on rain and warmth. Just like last winter, very disappointing
Jan 25-26 Storm.. No thread yet until I feel more confident
GFS12z doesnt push the ridge north too much so it stays colder and it brings the storm from Ohio valley and crosses south of NJ Which means snowstorm for here. See it?
Too bad its 7 days away still.
If we can get the Euro and Canadian to trend north I think it will look good for us
