Jan 25-26 Storm.. No thread yet until I feel more confident
GFS12z doesnt push the ridge north too much so it stays colder and it brings the storm from Ohio valley and crosses south of NJ Which means snowstorm for here. See it?
Too bad its 7 days away still.
If we can get the Euro and Canadian to trend north I think it will look good for us
Your location doesn’t even have a well defined winter season IMHO, just like pretty much the rest of the middle and Deep South.
Oh yeah, we have very mild winters relatively. But we usually have one or two snow events, totaling around 5" of snow and about every 5 winters we get a few days where it doesn't get above freezing at all.
So far we've had highs in the 40-50s every day and that doesn't look like it's going to change much from that pattern. Which is fine with me!
Looks like a return to the 70's for the forseeable. Can't say I'm particularly happy about it, but tonight is the last cold night for a while, 36F or so in these parts.
Low latitude climate fail again, garbage pattern. Two ridiculously warm winters in a row. I'm sure it will end up being 20 degrees in May again, though. No four seasons at all.
After 17 days, our airport has avg high -4.5ºC /24ºF and avg low -11.3ºC / 12ºF, with mean -8ºC / 18ºF.
Extremely cold January so far.
