What a mix we had today...A light hoar-frost clung to everything this morning...Had to walk outside to be sure it wasn't freezing rain...
Later on, we warmed up and the ice cycles hanging from our eves, dripped, poured and fell-off...
Cravings for Chili (which I rarely have), led Beloved to our General Store/Diner/Gas Station for purchases (while I continued with the laundry, hanging it in the drying room on racks).
Discussions ensued with Beloved, about why such cravings might occur (with the local crowd who gathered for a late-morning early dinner meal), then laughter! Nothing like providing one's small community with entertainment!
Rain turned into snow this afternoon (without an accumulation), paused and slipped into evening's darkness...
Time for bed, the warmed sheets and bedding call...
It was a beautiful weekend! Had clouds and rain early Saturday but it gave way to sunshine and temps in the mid-50s. Yesterday had sunshine all morning then clouded up but temperatures were near 60. I was out without a coat on putting up Christmas decorations. Now it's back to cold 30s and rainy. Highs tomorrow will stay in the mid to upper 20s. Ick.
I don't ever visit Florida anymore due to the horrid combination of heat, humidity, and brutal sun angle. I don't know why so many people enjoy the climate there ...
We moved north to escape the Florida climate. People enjoy it who only visit from the cold north. Almost everybody who lives there enjoy an indoor climate with air conditioning. If you had to actually exist in the climate with out AC, Florida would have far less people living there.
Wow at the southerly extent. 0 here so far but parts of Sc and Louisiana!!!
And some of it was from October. Even down in Kansas it had snowed. Was an early start even back to September in Edmonton.

I checked CoCoRaHS and all NowData stations and didn't find any either. Was it sleet maybe? Mountain resorts reporting the snow?
Here is how they gather the data. Scroll down and send them an email to ask why there is snow being shown in SC. Please let us know what they say. Thanks!

Do they include freezing rain? Because I know some of that region has had freezing rain last weekend.
