They shouldn't. Usually sleet is considered part of snow totals, not ice, but not sure. There was ice happening on the 15th in the hills. I don't have a good radar from it but I do have this saved.

You can see the freezing rain reports from NC here Nov 15th. The "?" is mixed or sleet reports so maybe there was sleet. It's only 1" or less on the map so nothing crazy anyway

Few hrs later actual Ice accumulation reports from hills of Virginia.

Last few days of November will be quite cold. Then a bit of a warmup to start December before another Arctic plunge by next week

Your colder than Boston right now. Storm center nearby.

Nice to see Florida in the 40s and 50s central Northward.. Houston in the 30s again.

Lots of snow around New England this morning.

Current Surface map. Storm that produced snow in Plains and Mid West is about to merge with the new coastal storm now.

Cold front sitting north of Miami this morning

Well, apparently off and on snow and temps falling from the upper 30s to the upper 20s during the day caused a lot of icy bridges yesterday evening. Area police departments reported over 180 accidents last night with the majority of them during the evening rush hour on bridges. There was an 8-car pile up on one bridge. 2 cars in 2 separate accidents hit an icy patch on a bridge and both ended up in the water. I didn't experience any ice on my drive home but some interstates, especially at interchanges, were just crawling. I guess the city wasn't prepared. Indy said they only had 4 salt trucks out with the rest not planning to go out until 11pm. Whoops.

Nearly 9 inches of precipitation this month, just ridiculous.
