60s sounds nice right now. Just for 1 day I'd be fine. I'll take 50s for 3 days too.

Overcast 38° here and scattered sleet pellets around. Waiting for the rain now. What else.

Top 15 coldest November on record looking virtually certain for the Indianapolis area, kind of hard to believe that just two years ago Indianapolis was basking in its 8th warmest November on record, all in all it looks like as a whole, fall of 2018 will be close to normal in terms of temperature while precipitation looks to be slightly above average.

Dreary, overcast, drizzly last day of November with temps hovering in the low 40s and dews near 30. Lots of fallen leaves and debris everywhere. A fitting ending to a great (i.e., below avg) November.

Another warm and dry fall in my corner of the Pacific Northwest. The water year starts Oct 1 and we have had under 2" of rain since then. Some rain tomorrow (under 0.25" here but more in the passes and at Crater Lake) then a dry cold snap the first part of next week, but then predicted to warm back up and stay dry. Not a good start for the water year, we need snowpack to start accumulating.

According to the Drought Monitor, we're still stuck in D2, almost D3, which is the borderline between Extreme and Severe Drought. The USFS lifted all the outdoor burn restrictions but a lot of the counties didn't - not with the spectacular example just to the south of us.

It looks like this fall will wind up tied for 10th coldest in the OKC area. That makes this the first top-10 coldest season I've experienced ever in my 20 years of life. Raleigh has been experiencing major growth in their UHI over the past 20 years, which is the main reason why. They last had a top-10 coldest season in spring of 1996. OKC has now had five top-10 coldest seasons since 2000, but this is the first time I've been in the region to experience it.

Also, we got thunderstorms today for the first time in a while, giving us 0.31" of rain, and making today the rainiest day of the month.

67f this AM. Nice to see it warm up some this weekend. Heavy rain about 140 miles to my northwest but not coming down my way. Back to colder weather next week. I enjoy this up and down on the temps every few days. Now if we could only get some heavy rain i would be in heaven.

Still lots of rain over a 100 miles to my north but it is moving away. Got another telescope today so that will keep it cloudy.

Warm and humid today. Good day to tinker with scopes.
Clear this am and had a peek at the moon and Venus.
