I have plenty of a idea jack. I don't see temps in the 90's around the coast up there that much, but never really study that area. I guess once you go inland about 50 miles it is hotter. Like i said, would love to let you guys get a taste of real summer weather like i get for 5 solid months with no breaks.

Just checked for May only. I was curious myself..

Last time Seattle hit 88° in May was in 2008. 10 yrs ago. Before that was 2005
Before that was 1996
Before that was 1983
Before that was 1972

But yeah, hits 90s in summer every yr. Interesting heat for May though.

Today was a typical day that Austin gets when the flow is SE. Mild but humid mornings with low clouds that rim the Balcones fault line then partial clearing throughout the day with a high of 90. Dewpoint started out in the low 70's but it's 66 now.

Tomorrow begins the heatwave.

If you're in the Orange and Red areas heads up later today/this evening for storms which could be severe. Cold front dropping south into a hot humid airmass.

Potential for isolated supercells ahead of the main line of storms. (Tornadoes)
