I have plenty of a idea jack. I don't see temps in the 90's around the coast up there that much, but never really study that area. I guess once you go inland about 50 miles it is hotter. Like i said, would love to let you guys get a taste of real summer weather like i get for 5 solid months with no breaks.
Today was a typical day that Austin gets when the flow is SE. Mild but humid mornings with low clouds that rim the Balcones fault line then partial clearing throughout the day with a high of 90. Dewpoint started out in the low 70's but it's 66 now.
If you're in the Orange and Red areas heads up later today/this evening for storms which could be severe. Cold front dropping south into a hot humid airmass.
Potential for isolated supercells ahead of the main line of storms. (Tornadoes)
