The heat was drier. That is, still humid compared to areas out West, but drier than the traditional mugginess.

It's been quite dry and hot along parts of the Gulf west of Florida recently. In fact, Gulfport in MS reached 98F this past Monday.

We need a pattern change ASAP but I fear the only one we would get is a torching one. lol

So we got this stalled front, we got this Sub Tropical Ridge parked in the Atlantic, and we got constant rain here. 6hrs of sun in 6 days. 6th overcast morning in a row and still raining.

=========================
For those that didn't see it. I started a thread for the severe weather we had the other day.

All 3 main models have a tropical system now next weekend. GFS caught onto something 2 weeks before.

Are you saying we get another one of those rainy stretches right into Memorial Day weekend?

I hope not! We'll see how the timing of all this and what the pattern is like. I hope that Atlantic High moves West and blocks any precip from coming up. Let the Tropical storm go into the MidWest

After 5 months of winter I was looking forward to Spring and all we get are backdoor cold fronts and stalled fronts!

Usually these stalled fronts weaken and dissipate by now as we progress through the change of seasons, but this one past 6 days has staying power.

MOVE!

Non stop rain now for 24hrs, temps in the 50s/60s. Clouds. Clouds. Clouds

I'm gonna ruin one of the coolest aerial shots I've seen of hail accumulations!

Just imagine at the surface they are shoveling and plowing the hail and some maybe never seen so much in their life..

This rain & clouds is gonna get me on rant soon.

Do you know what this map represents? The last nice day of weather we had here.

A cold front had pushed through overnight and High Pressure built in.. That cold front stalled down in the Mid Atlantic then pushed north the next day and stalled over us ever since.
