Only in 1977 was there a longer period between mowings (21 days) but that was in Aug. during a nasty, nasty drought.

Thru yesterday, 7.02" during May at BWI Airport. Normal value 3.86".

Thank you Lord for a spot of dry weather. Got in 4 hrs. on the tractors, essentially done.

It's raining again in northeast Georgia. This will be the 18th consecutive day of measurable rainfall in Athens. Total rainfall for Athens in May was 9.31", all of it from the 15th through the 31st. Normal rainfall for May is 3.00".

Thankfully, rain chances will decrease to 30% tomorrow, though they will increase to 40% on Sunday in advance of a cold front. After that, however, next week will be sunny, warm and dry, with no real chance of rain through Friday.

I cut my grass on May 11, and didn't get to cut it again until today, due to all the rain. Even today, I finished just in time for the outflow breeze from some nearby severe thunderstorms that blew up while I was cutting. The storms arrived faster than I thought they would today. Thankfully I was able to finish cutting all the grass.
