Felt a "whoa, this is cold" sensation but not horribly uncomfortable. Yesterday with the wind and higher temperatures felt worse. The winds depends on the direction, so 25% of the time it felt more comfortable but the rest of the time it was uncomfortable last night, I was worse dressed though. This morning, my face felt cold but didn't feel a stinging sensation, woulda liked a scarf if I was out for longer; definitely manageable for much longer and I enjoyed my walk. Moving created enough body heat that my clothes helped kept enough the warmth in. But I could feel "this is air is crazy cold" wherever it seeped over, different feeling than yesterday with the same windchill but warmer temperatures.

Official station read -18°F at the time; I don't think that was correct for here; it didn't feel cold enough.
We hit -11° this morning, but I agree definitely didn't feel that cold. Guess it's because it wasn't nearly as windy? Idk

I hear what you’re saying.

Yesterday was very cold but no wind, exposed skin felt cold but not
that “stinging” sensation when there is a wind.
Windy at these cold temps makes a huge difference.

I agree with all. Yesterday did feel worse so now I can say "in my experience" wind and single digits/teens is much worse than near 0F without wind.

Granted it was still cold but not like OMG WOW RUN BACK IN cold. lol

So nei, you had 4 layers? Tshirt, Sweater, Fleece and Jacket? I was fine with 3 layers and no jacket. Just heavy hooded fleece as the outside layer.

They have the gulf stream not far offshore with much warmer water vs the gulf in Tx. My water temps in the gulf are 53 just offshore from me in FL. We have dead fish everywhere.

Finally rose above the freezing mark today in Indianapolis, the first temperature above 32 F/0 C since December the 23rd according to the weather man on tv. Currently 35 F/ 2 C with light rain or light freezing rain at both of Indianapolis’s representative weather stations as of 11:00 pm local time.
