NYC didn't go above freezing again yesterday so they added a day. They are today so it officially ended.

Consecutive days under freezing. 2018 is 3rd longest since 1871.

Bridgeport at the CT coast added another day yesterday making it 14 days in a row! Never before (since 1949)

Hartford is 5th longest under "31°F". Surprised to see 2005 on there.

Boston. 4th longest. Surprised to see 2005 & 2015 & 2003 in there. Weird 2015 doesn't show up in Top 10 for many other sites. Why Boston.

There not dead though, they are in hibernation... this cold has taken an immense toll on everything... so much so even joe bastardi began to question his love for this weather.

Snatchmagators will go into dead mode until the water warms back up. Kinda like what lizards do when it gets cold.

It still hasn't reached 60F since Dec 23, which was 18 days ago!

At 59F right now, and I guess there's a chance it could reach 60F this evening when Gulf flow coming in. NWS is forecasting a high of 70F tomorrow.
