Not sure, but I think it's position (east or west) would dictate weather patterns over the US

Temp has come way up. Was 40f when i went to bed, was 43 at 4am and now it is 44. Winds are up and cold air clouds have kept the temps 10 degrees warmer in my area, while places south and east are mid 30's.

Woke up to a light coating of snow on the ground. Currently 11F with a 15 mph wind out of the WNW. Even though I'm missing out on the big coastal storm, at least I'm getting a little bit of lake effect snow. We're supposed to get light snow showers on and off all day, and with a high of 15F it should all stick.

Back home very cold through Saturday. I get back Sunday morning and will be welcomed with some snow, but near average temps

Well above average here outside Phoenix AZ. Another day with highs in the mid 70s.

Well the clouds cleared a hour before sunrise and the temp went down 6 degrees to 38 in a hours time.

I don't expect anything lower than 35 tonite.
