I Hope you’re having fun enjoying that warm weather. This cold weather is already grating on my nerves- Indianapolis officially tied a low temperature record which had stood unchallenged for 131 years, hit -12 F officially at both main weather stations used to represent the city of Indianapolis this morning, and local meteorologists said that areas north of Indianapolis registered low temperatures ranging from -15 F to -23 F, so much for hoping for milder winter weather due to this climate change, even here in Fort Worth Texas, temperatures have been at or below 32 F for the past 48 hours, including a low temperature of 15 F yesterday morning.

Mid month pattern "reset"? Hopefully the ensuing pattern towards late Jan/early Feb favours the west. We seldom see back loaded winters these days so perhaps we're due.

No big surprise, extreme high latitude warming will result in even more disastrous scenarios in the future as melting permafrost in Alaska results in feedback loops- featuring even more warming.

I experienced temperatures in the realm of -2 to +1°F (-19 to -16°C) this morning, the coldest weather I've experienced by several degrees. Sadly it looks like I'll miss snow to my south yet again with his upcoming storm.
