I'll believe it when we're within 5 days. Not buying any changes with this pattern.
FYI .. I would love that placement. Here we come storms. But wake me up when it shows this 5 days out and continues with it, not in & out.
Remember my rule of thumb... In a warm pattern don't buy the cold change until we're closer. Vise Versa in a cold pattern. Trend is your friend works too.
but it is about time for a change. 5 months now above normal. W.....T.....F!!!
Forecast high was 10C but it only reached 3C with overcast conditions and fog all day. Lowest high this season. Spent a decent portion of the day outside. Hoping for more days like this
Winter of 1972-73: Was this mentioned by us over the Summer and Fall at all as an analog year?
Bad year for the big cities but Maine, Colorado and Missouri did well 10-40â€+ above normal. Caribou had their 4th snowiest winter.
Philly, NYC, D.C least snowiest winters. Philly didn't even have measureable snow.
Boston 3rd least with only 10.3"
Bridgeport 3rd least snowiest with only 8.9"
Burlington ended up with 89.7†which was slightly above normal
Hartford was slightly below normal with 38â€
Chicago was slightly less than normal with 33"
Looks like Mid West and Eastern U.S were below normal while northern New England was above.
MO, TN, and NC a little surprising being slightly above normal. Raleigh 11.3", Knoxville 10.9"
The flag may come out soon...
Doubtful. That was the season Savannah saw 3" and Augusta/Macon saw over 14". Don't think that's going to happen again. Not enough cold air around in Siberia.
Besides, I'm hoping for a dry pattern with below average temps, but judging by the El Nino, it looks like that will not be happening.
Mmm definitely. I want to see how many 40+ degree lows we can still squeeze in, in Philly So far no sub-freezing lows forecast through the 18th!
