8am temps. Same temp here as in Birmingham. 33°F.

And come on Miami. WTF! Morning temp in 70s and dewpoint at 70? WTF! Enjoy those rains.

I'm more surprised by the 70 F in Daytona. Warmer there this morning than it was yesterday afternoon. Strong NE seabreeze off the warm waters is keeping E Florida warm.

In 1978, Daytona had a high of 86 F today.

It hasn't been above 60F since 1 AM Tuesday. Hopefully it stays below 60F again today - forecast high is 59F.

Had lows in the 30's the past two nights with some frost despite staying a few degrees above freezing.

From NWS LCH

DISCUSSION...
THIS MORNING...BROAD AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE EXTENDS FROM THE
ROCKIES TO THE EAST COAST AND DOWN INTO THE GULF COAST STATES.
TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM THE 20S OVER THE DAKOTAS TO THE 40S ALONG
THE GULF. THIS HIGH PRESSURE WILL GRADUALLY SHIFT INTO THE NEW
ENGLAND STATES AS ANOTHER DRY COOL FRONT MOVES DOWN FROM THE
PLAINS AND INTO CNTRL TX BY SUNDAY MORNING... THEN THROUGH SOUTH
CENTRAL LOUISIANA EARLY SUNDAY EVENING.

I thought about doing a poll on Sun vs Air temp. It's 43° and the sun is just disgustingly warm on my skin. Especially in the car! A reminder how much I either need air temp to be WELL BELOW normal for this area or how I need northern Lats more than I think. I cant take it, It supposed to feel like Winter.

It's gotten warmer since midnight. You can see the winds go from N to NE:

Must be a wall up at the CT/MA border. Clouds appear to be hovering it.

Why does the Sun feel strong today!!!

12pm temps. Just one of those years. In short sleeves outside and in the warm 40s/50s.

From someone in Vermont..

Yep, once those winds have an easterly component to them, the east coast of Florida rapidly warms up, even if it's in the wee hours of the morning. The only time they cool off are when winds are from the NW.

The upper coast of Georgia around Savannah is more slanted to the point where a NNE wind is still a land breeze, which is why their temps were able to drop into the 40s.
