I'm not too concerned about the lack of cold yet. El Ninos often have lack of arctic air in the eastern part of the country, causing a mild December. And my 10 day forecast only looks to be a few degrees above average. I'd prefer it cooler, but some above average periods are inevitable. I'll only start to worry if it's the start of January and there are no real signs of cooling down.

In other news, we've had a lot of fog the past two days. I like the cool, moist, mysterious feel fog brings. If we can't get a cold snowy winter, a cool foggy winter is the next best thing, IMO.

Eh, rain doesn't feel cozy. Feels miserable and depressing most of the time.

You guys are having typical western european winter weather. After years of this, you understand why people pray for cold and snow.

Yeah, I have to admit, it feels weird given the fact of how cold and snowy its been recently. 337 inches of snow in last 7 winters here (28 feet) compared to the Normal of 189 inches. I guess we should share the love.

Meanwhile... we continue.. Euro next Sunday +13C at 850 up to Maine. And yet another snowstorm for the Plains...projected. Insane warm airmass for this time of year. Still 10 days away though.

Surface temps would be in the 60s up to Michigan, Buffalo, Philly, ect. 70s up to Ohio and West Virginia.
