Here, it got to 35 F last night. Set a new record low no frost however, too windy.

That -32 F in KY is a bit more impressive, IMO.

True, I was factoring in the possibility of an UHI with Ann Arbor, though.
At a latitude of 37N, that -32F in KY will probably not happen again for a very long time.

If the Wikipedia stats are correct, that would beat Ann Arbor's record low of -23F by a whopping 7 degrees!

Yup, Kentucky is, considering the state record low temp is only 5 degrees colder. For Michigan -51° is the state record. Feb 9, 1934. That year is coming up a lot lately.

I have to admit, Winter Satellite &Temps produce the best looking maps of all seasons. IMO I guess.

1pm Cold Temps. Struggling past mid teens here. Normal is 40. Nuts.

Went to grab firewood without gloves... I guess was a mistake after 10 minutes. LOL

It's -18C well out into the Atlantic at 850mb. Funny how those clouds start off the coast like that. Those clouds are well below zero F

34F was this morning's low. Lame.
Though I should note that yesterday's mean was the first 20F anomaly in more than 3 years.

Theres never been this long of a streak with the lows staying below 25°F at the coast.

Today makes 27 days.

67 years on record, this year is the longest.

Record low of -17F at Cleveland Hopkins Airport set this morning, with some localities going to -20F or lower. It gets even better. I was an hour and a half late for work this morning due to all of the black ice which caused numerous spin outs on the local freeways causing significant delays. The radio all morning was listing accident after accident. It truly was scary driving this morning, and we almost became one of those spin outs. It was like a total sheet of ice!

Aw man, looks like the sun is winning. All the way up to 16F at 2pm. No more record low high, most probably

Edit: It's 18F now. Opportunity gone
