You're not alone, I can't take much more of this.

BDL also at their low of the season of -7 below zero. Lets see if they can dip below that

Providence at -3F also tied the low of the season.

Thanks Cambium! Those temperatures are insane. I'm already gearing up for spring here now that the blossom is out on some of the trees, and now that the Sun is feeling warm(ish).
It's crazy as a lot of the places mentioned could quite easily be reaching well into the 60's with warm Sun in a week or so? Forecast permitted of course.

Longtime obsession: Ambulate 30 min., 7 days a week up and down my hill except in heavy rain, yes even in this gelidity.

Doesn't help me understand the cheerfulness. I mean one guy sounded almost happy that his pipes froze preventing use of his washer/dryer. Another one seemed unfazed by frostbite. Called it "frost nips." Next thing you know, someone will celebrate hypothermia.

Invest in better winter gear, then. I take 4000 IU Vitamin D a day and I start taking more with shorter daylight hours in November to ease adjustment into the core of the season. I am used to nordic conditions, spent a good bit of time in northern Wisconsin, and have a northern European background, though.

I can't understand how people don't like it. This is fun.

I can handle right now, in fact it's kind of exciting. What I can't stand is that probably all we have to make up for it is another half assed summer with 50s dewpoints as the norm.

I don't get it either.

I don't mind a little cold like 0C or even -5C but....highs below -12C / 10F and I'm not a happy camper
