The air is having a really hard time warming up today. Sun is very strong here (at 11am at 40N!), but strong winds keep bringing in cooler air. It's about 9F / -12C now. If it can stay below 17F, it'll be a new monthly record at KISP

According to NWS, it was -18F at KLEX. About 50F below average. Historic!

I know you probably hate it, but man I wish I could have experienced that For pete's sake, you have a hotter avg February than us, and we only dropped to 2F.

The hourly OBS only goes to -13, but the minimum is shown as -18. It was very brief?

It's high noon with 12F. Unfathomable with this October-strength sunlight. If this wind can keep up, we can break the 17F record low max.

I guess KY is not considered Eastern US but they had the most impressive numbers.

Frankfort hit -21F, which absolutely annihilated the old record value of -3F from 1896. I think that it broke the monthly record as well.

Oh..... Why not again...

No...end...in...sight..

No thaw, no warming period being shown for another 2 weeks.

Again, anything can change past 10 days but it hasn't for past 4 weeks. lol

Another Arctic Blast mid next week and again end of next week and maybe again around March 7th time frame.

Are we going to mid March staying in the freezer?
